My First Experience at Coachella

Hi guys! Sorry its been awhile BUT i'm not really that sorry because I was having the time of my life dancing in the desert at Weekend one Coachella and I cant wait to tell you all about it!

Coachella has been a dream of mine since the age of 13, but I made a promise to myself to wait until I was 21 in order to take advantage of everything the festival has to offer. If you are reading this and your under the age of 21 I promise you it's worth the wait ;)

I have to start out with saying that who you bring with you to the festival is a HUGE part of the experience you have and I was lucky enough to enjoy it with Brady ( my boyfriend) and his best friend Ben. My boyfriends parents were so accommodating with helping us find a place to stay at (The Palm Desert Country Club) and even taking the time to drive us back and forth from the festival. SO a huge shoutout to Julie and Deron for being rockstars this past weekend.

Day 1

favorite artists

-Leon, Kygo, Troyboi, Alison Wonderland, SZA,The Weeknd, REZZ, The Neighbourhood

Personally day one was my absolute favorite day and it probably had to do with the crazy amount of energy and adrenaline I had built up, but seriously everything about this day was perfect. We had to wait in an hour long line ( as expected) to get in, but as soon as we did, I wanted to check out EVERYTHING!! We started in the Heineken house, drinking beer and vibing to the house music and the moved on to looking at the festivals artwork, watching some of our favorite artists and non stop dancing of course. Day one had a great variety of my favorite genres, so I was able to get a taste of them all. My favorite artist on this day was most definitely Kygo!! I have always wanted to see Kygo and he was everything and more. The day was full of laughing, dancing, vibing, enjoying good food, and feeling as if nothing else in the world mattered. Im missing it more and more as I reminisce on this day.

Day 2

favorite artists

Fisher, Snakehips, MO, Alina baraz, Tash Sulatana, Louis The Child, Blackbear, alt-J, Beyonce, Post Malone, BORNS,

Day two seems like a blur because we were non stop go but it was AMAZING! There were so many artists I wanted to see Saturday that were back to back, all in different tents, so I was able to see almost every single stage and explore new areas of the festival ( especially all the food options hehe). Speaking of food, I wanted to try something new and get the full Coachella eats experience SOOO yes I had mac and cheese pizza AND yes it was delicious. (Peep the photo below). Then when I found out there was a booth where you could get a quarter of a watermelon and a large coconut, I had to get both and they were the bomb. Day two was the day I was able to see one of my all time favorite artists Tash Sultana and she was unreal. Tash is an Australian self taught singer/songwriter, and she is without a doubt one of the most musically talented individuals. Brady and I were both so moved by her performance and I still get chills thinking about it. Day two was so magical.

Day 3

Vance Joy, San Holo, LANY, Petit Biscuit, Cardi B, French Montana, Portugal The Man, Illenium, Miguel, ODESZA, Eminem

It is true what people say about Day 3, your energy levels are at their lowest but your mood is still optimistic and your'e eager to keep going. When we got to the Festival on Sunday around 1:00pm it was so empty! I was thrilled because we were able to experience the arctic dome light show without waiting in a long line, experience some more food options, and dance around freely.  Today was the day I was going to see my all time favorite artist Vance Joy and you best believe I pushed all the way to the front of the main stage for this one. Vance was so incredible and I wish I could see him a million times over. If you have never heard the song Mess is Mine by Vance Joy stop what you are doing right now, and go listen to it  but come back ;). The very last set we went to on Sunday was ODESZA and it was one of the most spectacular performances/sets i've ever seen. The lights were so captivating and they had their own drumline for every single song. I think the best part of the show was that they had over 10,000 drones synced up in the sky creating their logo. ODESZA you absolutely killed it, and you have me watching videos of this night every day.

Coachella was probably one of the best weekends of my life and turned me into a complete festival addict. The PCD is so real ( post Coachella depression ) no joke the day I got back it felt like reality was just so unstimulating. I miss it every day and Im SO looking forward to next year! THANK YOU COACHELLA FOR AN EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME! See you in 2019.

Check out my Coachella Vlog!

XOXO,
