I decided to do a post about how I edit my Instagram photos because Its probably the number one question i receive! So for all of you ladies and dudes who have asked me this question several times, this post/video is for you!
1. Apps
First you will need to download the apps that I use:
- vsco
- snapseed
- facetune
( I sometimes use Lightroom for more professional photos but I will do another tutorial on that in another post)
2. Lighting/Location
I really want to emphasize that a lot of my photos are planned based on lighting and location so that they are cohesive and match my overall aesthetic. I never shoot at night and i tend to pick cloudy days due to the white light. Sometimes too much sunlight creates an over exposed photo which makes it very difficult to edit. Always choose shade over sun.
3. Outfits
Believe it or not my outfits have a lot to do with how my pictures turn out. I have a very monochromatic look and veer more towards neutrals. If you notice on my instagram i rarely have bright colors, not because I don't like them but because I prefer basics and I feel more comfortable matching in blacks, tans, and whites vs. yellows, reds, and blues.
